Articles are based on my existing collection of fashion dolls from the 1950s to the present. I hope that the articles will be useful to collectors. I enjoy my collection daily and wish for everyone the same.

My pen name is Roselyn Gadia-Smitley. Professionally, my name is Roselyn Smitley. I am presently an associate professor at New Mexico State University in the major of Clothing, Textiles, and Fashion Merchandising. I have written two books: (1) Dolls' Clothes Pattern Book and (2) Wearable Quilts. I received my Ph.D. from Texas Woman's University and my M.A. and B.A. from California State University in Los Angeles. I believe that doll collectors are happy individuals and are most eager to share their hobbies to others.
